ftdi_sio.o and Adteknik usb phoenix interface

Hi,

The ftdi_sio.o module was changed between the 1.9.2.7-8 and 1.9.2.7-9 release of Oleg. This has the disadvantage of making it impossible to use the Adteknik usb phoenix interface together with the newer firmware releases. Would it be possible to replace the ftdi_sio.o module in a newer version of the firmware so that the interface is recognized again, either by me locally or by Oleg in a new version of the firmware?

What was the purpose of changing it in the first place?

A lot of users install Oleg 1.9.2.7-8 only to be able to use that interface, but I think it's a bad idea not making use of the improvements in newer firmware releases.

Personally, I use the additions made in the Koppel firmware to be able to connect using a mobile broadband stick so for me it's not possible to use an old Oleg release. I hope that if the Oleg firmware is changed the Koppel firmware will also be updated or maybe the newer Oleg releases can be directly used for mobile broadband access without the need for the Koppel additions?
