I want to read out the WAN-IP adress displayed by the webserver of my stupid ADSL modem, which is not reachable via telnet.
This should be possible with a javascript enabled text browser running on wl-500gP. To get Elinks work with SpiderMonkey is to complicate for me.
Does anyone know a capable text browser or alternative solution?
I'm not sure what is elinks, but I know of 'links'. It's a text browser with JS support. I compiled and tried to use it (not on the router), and it has proven to work. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my task, because it was able to retrieve pdf from JS-server, but it was showing raw pdf file in text browser instead of saving it...

Hi.
I can not find "links" browser in http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/oleg/cross/stable/Packages.gz
Could you please supply me the wl-500gP compiled "links" browser (javascript enabled) or let me know how to achieve that? Thanks.
I'm afraid I've misinformed you. Links web page is: http://links.sourceforge.net But I don't see any clue that it supports JS.
I've need of a text browser with javascript support too!
My provider restrict Internet access by a special program that doesn't work on Asus WL-500gP or by login through java window that is not allowed to be closed.

w3m browser seems to be solution.
w3m browser doesn't work correct with my provider's javascript :(
