Howdy all,
I have problems with the speed of my internal network. Before I had these probs I usually used ftp to transfer files and the speed I got was about 2.5mb/sec.
At the moment my speed is around 25 - 30K / sec.. a dramatic decrease. All my pc's have same internet cnx speeds of around 400 - 700 k/sec. It's just the internal network that seems to suffer. And It's not just the ftp, I also use remote desktop quite a lot and the performance of that has also taken a nosedive.
Ofcourse these problems didn't just occur. I made some changes.
I added a USB2.0 card into a pc to facilitate an external HD for FTP purposes ( ASUS FTP is way too slow ), and I went back to DHCP enabled with a manual assignment of ip adresses.
I did some troubleshooting, but doing a trace only showed 1 hop, ping gave 9 times a 1ms ping and once 37ms.
I use firmware 8.1.9
