Enabling 'root' ftp and telnet using Asus firmware 1.8.1.9

I enabled telnet a few monts ago with the stock firmware. Recently I updated the firmware to the latest official version (increased stability of my connection btw) and now the tricks to enable root ftp access and telnet don't work at all :mad:

Any ideas to fix this? Yeah, I know... installing a customized firmware will provide telnet support by default, but I rather stick to this one :)

OK, I just started telnetd from a usb stick... Now edit some script to automatically start it at boot time :)

you can enter a script that the wl500g should execute at booting time at the FTP Setup in your websetup
i'm using that too to start my telnet at 1.8.1.9 works fine
