I'm new to this, so please be patient.

I want to use the WL-500g only as a print server for an Apple MacBook Pro, and a wired PC.

Here's what I have for the network.

1. Primary Router - Linksys WRT54GL (Linksys firmware)
2. MacBook Pro (wireless connection)
3. PC (wired connection) (to be connected toWL-500g)
4. Canon MP530 multi-function printer (to be connected to WL-500g)
5. Brother 2070N networkready laser printer (to be connected to WL-500g)
6. Sunrocket VOIP phone (to be connected to WL-500g)

My plan is to flash the WL-500g to WRT firmware or maybe Oleg's.

Can this be done? and what else should I be looking out for? I read somehwere that in a configuration such as mine, I should set the WL-500G as an "Access Point."

I'm welcome to any tips, advice and suggestions!

Thanks!
