i plan to make my own Battery pack.
But I don't know what Barrel Connector I need for the Power Connector on the WL-HDD.
Especially I want to know what inside diameter and outside diameter I should use?

I have been using a playstation portable power pack for my WL-HMD to use it as a totally portable access point/media server. The one I bought off ebay has a stated 1A drain capacity. It looks the same as this:

Media sever in my backpack streaming music to my smartphone over wireless.
The current drain is on the limits. You will need to provide 1A minimum, but drain on hdd spinup and read/write exceeds this. Check your hard disk specs as to current use to see what I mean. Its working for me OK, but be aware of this.
The barrel connector is the same as for the PSP
