Hello,

I used the latest oleg firmware some time ago, but the reason I downgraded to the original firmware is that the wireless signal dropps down from time to time. Is that an known problem or was it maybe the place where the router was placed?

One last question: Can I import my ASUS 19.6.0 Settings file into the Latest Oleg firmware? Just incase i'm going to upgrade again to the Oleg Firmware.

Regards,

Maybe you should check if there is no other AP on the same channel in your neigbourhood.
Changing your ap's location is not a bad idea.

By the way, are you using an Intel 2200BG Wifi card ?

No, I use the Intel 2100B mini adapter. It's a laptop.

Hi,

I am using an Asus WL 500G with Intel 2200BG Wifi card on an IBM T42
It was working fine for long time. but until few weeks it keeps disconnecting.

Is there known issues with this intel cards ?

I also have an IBM T23 with PCMCIA cisco 350 wifi card...
it was working also fine, but time to time it cannot connect to the AP.

after an AP reboot, it can connect for a while.

My Asus has olegs firmware " WL500g-1.9.2.7-7f "

Thanks for your lights.
