Please help. I have read this manual for 5 times, but it didn't help me much.
I have been looking for some info on net for a day, now I have found this forum. My last hope, before I sell this WL-500g.

Here is what I want:

As you can see, I must connect two computer, so I will be able to share files and have connection to net from bouth computer. Computer 1 is connected to net. That's all I have managed to do. I have ethernet card in COM. 2 and WL-138g pci card in COM. 1. And I have dynamic IP and winXP pro.

Can somebody, please, tell me, step by step, how do you do this (I don't even konw in what mode i have to run (Home Gateway, Router...), or just post some useful links.

read faq too please, but you've been specific in a way already.

first thing: switch to gateway mode
second: return the wl138g and buy a linksys wmp54g
third: if you can't return, be sure to use latest drivers (can be found on this board)
fourth: go to http://www.wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=10 and follow it exactly


last note if your connection is very bad it's your wl138g fault not the wl500g

Well, I set wireless option to "use only Windows wireless function", and set all the stuf as you said. But it didn't connect. Every time i set that, something blinked in right bottom corner, that it had found wireless network. Well, nothing happened. I did that step again, still, useless. I am able to connect to net using ASUS software. I just need to connect computer 1 and 2, but I don't know how, because 1 is connect with wireless, other with wire to router (image).

did you set the settings at your wl500g too ?
and EXACT as described?
