Yesterday I bought a WL-500g to replace my WL-300g.

Now a strange problem appears: I can make a WEP-64 connection to the WL-500g, running as AP, great connection just as the 300. But I cannot connect to the LAN  I can manage the webinterface from another (NOT-wifi) PC, can see that the MAC-address of my Asus WL-100g is in use, but I can't get a DHCP-lease or when I manually assign an IP I can't ping my server... Only thing I get is an APIPA  With the WL-300g I never had this problem.

I tried to run the WL-500g as a Home Gateway, Router and AP, but no go...

Does anyone know about this problem?

Recently bought a 500g too. Following the manual, connecting the wires and did the setup for the 500g, i can't get a wired connection to the internet. No problems with my old wired router so it must be something i probably overlooked in the 500g. The wireless access seemed to work well. I have the latest driver for my 500g.
You can mail (and call) me for any solution or place it overhere.

if it's me you talking to, yes i looked for the link/url and i saw that it's about the wireless connection and not for the wired, is that correct or did i read i wrong?

that's correct..

assign manual an ip to your wired pc:

ip 192.168.1.100
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1

dns 192.168.1.1

try again then, probably there is already an IP assigned at this moment, or your DHCP is turned of..

Thnx for thinking here guys, solved the problem.
I had my PCMCIA-card pre-configured with the old 'WL-300g' settings, so all I needed to do was entering the exact information in the WL-500g, right?
Well I did, but I entered 64-bit encryption in stead of the supposed 128-bit encryption

Well, thnx anyway!
