Protect samba shares with a username and password

I know I asked this question already, but the tutorials from sprayfly require you to have your HDD mounted on /opt, but I don't and I dont want to mount on /opt too. So is there a tutorial where they explain how to do it with mounting on /tmp/harddisk ?
