DHCP & ASCII WEP Key

Dear all,
There are some questions, please help me, thanks.

1.After my wireless card connects to WL500g and gets IP address (192.168.2.2), and I connects to another AP which has DHCP function, but I can not get new IP address, why?..

2.WL500g only supports HEX wep key, not ASCII. Is there any solution to let WL500g supports ASCII wep key?.

is your wireless client set to accept DHCP at all? (and not to static IP)

you could just fill in a ascii wepphrase (i've no idea if it works, you'd better create a 26 character hex wepkey that's more safer)
