Hello.

Can you tell me please, how can i install original (official) firmware from ASUS into WL-500g Premium? I want upgrate my router from firmware version 1.9.6.7 to 1.9.6.9 . I dowload from ASUS web site GPL_ToolChain.zip file, but i don't know what i do next. This file contain many sources, and no one *.trx file. I need to compile this file by my self? Also, i download WL500gp_1969_TW.zip file. In this archive i found linux.trx file (size ~1Mb). This is a firmware or not?

P.S. Sorry for my terrible English.

-----------
With best regards,
Sergey.

They just released a new version, 1.9.7.0.
And you did not download the right thing, you downloaded the source code. The firmware file is about 7mb.

Link: http://support.asus.com/download/download_item.aspx?product=11&model=WL-500gP&SLanguage=en-us

Changelog only states minor changes: Language setting page and firmware upgrade time reduced to 3 minutes.

Seems like a useless upgrade...

Great thanks to all for answers and links. I'll successfully upgrade my router to 1.9.7.0 . It worked perfect.

And one more question: where i can find ChangeLog ?
