WL-700gE English Firmware Version , version 1.0.4.2
1. Allow to set DNS Server in AP mode with static IP.
2. Limit volume number to 10.
3. Add a button to mount encrypted disk
4. Allow to display USB HD contain system element.
But it is only used to maintain the disk. System don't support it with the same volumne name and share name.
5. Fix: MAX clone bug.
6. Fix: Change About Me Photo.
7. Fix: Remove tmp file during FTP transfer.(it should be helpful for ftp aging)
8. Adjust BT Download Master(by using new utility)

It is possible to modify the firmware, now open, to operate with other webcam? Or expand de WDS possibility, like Bridge mode?

this is the official firmware as supplied by asus(also look at the places where it can be downloaded it are the URL's from asus)

further impression don't see any improvements but that is because I haven't got time to use the device at all

only thing (still?) does not work are torrent files bigger than 2GB
it gets queued
I am using Download master version 1.1.0.4

Try the new tool in SW-Pack 1.6.6.0

That's very good news. I'm Waiting for the WDS to work... For this time this router doesnt support WDS, like other Wifi Routers from ASUS. The Bridge features is missing and in need it :p

I'm starting to think that, this product was released in the market very early, maybee in beta testing, I can imagine why...

hm aren't all devices released as beta nowadays?

the current market forces companies to do this.. if Asus doesn't they will not sell this shit resulting in another company takes their marketshare and does the same(releasing beta shit and maybe no updates further)

Yes, you have a point. For us, the final consumer only rests one sollution, wait :( So let's wait for "possible" new releases, or thirth party firmwares...

That's weird, I upgraded to 1.0.4.2 and got me the new software utilities, but unfortunately, the torrent still stays queued. What are the findings of others?

can you pass me that bittorent file so I can test it

I have tested it here with debian DVD ISO (4,36gb) but it doesn't start
although it now shows correctly that the bittorent file is 4,36gb

also Asus contacted me at 28th of june that they are working on the problem

Just thought I'd follow up since I flashed this firmware this week. I downloaded a 3.6 gig file yesterday, and it seemed fine so it does look like this problem is solved.
