View Full Version : Visit WL-500g Firmware Releases forum
WL550gE is supported starting with 1.9.2.7-7d custom firmware release.
Sorry for asking this, but the 300% cover freature is still present in your firmware?
300% is just a marketing thing. :) Well, try it and let me know if it still 300% capable. :)
Just boost output power to 50 mW and enjoy.
I see the 300% it's just an increase of mW in their produtcts ;)
300% increase means volume coverage increase and not distance. Distance increase is claimed as 30% when reading Broadcom specs. I think that reference antenna is dipole.
Actually they've increased 802.11g sensitivity (i.e. it would negotiate higher speed - "coverage") and bundled new power amplifier, which is capable of doing 80 mW (19dB) transmission.

Hello,
Any information about the numbers of "Radio Power" in http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_WAdvanced_Content.asp ? Suggested default is 8 with values ranging from 1 to 84.. Using firmware 1.9.2.7-7e.
