View Full Version : WPA not working
Hey guys,
I'm trying to get WPA to work on my wl-500g but without luck.
I tried to set WPA-PSK with AES.
Made a nice pass phrase and tried to logon my network with my laptop.
It tells me I'm connected but I have a different IP address.
Active IP address (or something like that) and I cannot access the internet.
Anyone know the prob?
Cheers
Hi Panja,
is the IP Adress assigned by a DHCP Server?
Does it work without WPA?
Surely entered the same passphrase on both sides?
Hey m8,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes everything is working perfect without it.
I tried open, open & shared, shared.
At the moment I'm using 128bits WEP and that is working okidoki!
Yes I'm using DHCP.

okay.. just tell us things you have done to setup WPA at your notebook/pc
which patches have you applied ?
and how did you setup WPA (make a screenshot and attach it to your post please)
and please drop a screenshot of your router too
note: i'm running wpa-psk tkip&aes with no problems (except windows problems)
Has anybody some experiences with ASUS in client mode and WPA?
Or with WPA in WDS only mode?
My 2 ASUSs doesn't work with WPA and WDS only...WEP and WDS only works fine
THX
WPA in client mode is not supported, same for wds. Seems guys from ------- has added WPA for wds, but i've no any details on that.

It's working now m8!
Probably I used a incorrect passphrase.

quoting from Asus taiwan:
As regarding your question, below is the answer.
