Hi ! I do really think this issue deals with your 2100 card. Why don't you change it for a 2200? Then you could enjoy 54Mbit....
:o
Thanks for the reply m8.
Its an integrated WiFi chip on my laptop's mobo.
To be honest I do NOT want to buy new card for my laptop...
Cant this be fixed on an other way?

yes.. use the search :)
possible 90% solution
turn off your WL500g for like 5 minutes, then turn it on
and are you using wep ? or wpa tkip/aes
eventually try using windows zero configuration, or the tools supplied with you network adapter. please also note which hardware you are using as i can't find it in your post.
Sorry I didnt include my hardware.
I have an HP WLAN 802.11b/g W400 (integrated in my laptop HP/Compaq nc6000)
Yes I'm using WEP 128bits.
Whats Windows Zero Configuration?
There is no software provided for the wifi (chip, card).
Cheers
Panja
Just powered down the wl-500g for 5- 10 minutes and than put the power back.
Still the same problem...

Hey m8,
I followed the instructions which I will post here:
XP Wireless Network Connection Drops Every Few Minutes
Symptoms: After installed XP SP1,
your wireless connection drops and then reconnects every three to five minutes.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, configure your wireless network
connection so that it does not use 802.1x authentication.

Hi Guys!
Who can tell me how to switch of: 802.1x authentication.
I see this option but i can not change it. It is gray.....
My communication drops every 5 minutes or so with a perfect connection.. (says the indicator)
I would really appriciate if someone could write a simple guide-line for setting up a secure and simple wire-less network. There are so many settings.....
Thanx.
