I've certain problem and would like if somebody can to resolve it.

My ftp works great while I login my ISP. And I wish if the router can direct login without my PC turns on so that only the router and the USB hdd(ftp) turns on. Followings are my peripherials,

ISP: via ethernet (ISP HKBN) with DHCP, dynamic IP address and fixed MAC address.
Location: Hong Kong
Firmware: 1.7.5.6 / 1.7.5.9
Printer: Epson stylus 600 with Epson parallel to usb cable

I used the 1.7.5.6 as my print server and the pc with xp works while the pc with win98 cannot function. Should I use AXIS print server in win98?

Thanks to all your contribution in the forum. Although I konw nothing in Linux, the forum let me know many settings to my router.

Axis print monitor works with custom firmware only, you do not need this with ASUS firmwares.

 what you need exactly? dhcp is always up & running and re-request IP address on lease expiration.

Thanks for your reply. May be I mislead you then.

I just want the script, if possible, when I power on the router it can automatic login my ethernet (ISP) with login id and password embedded in router. Since the ISP is an DHCP, the router will re-connect to ISP when the lease is expired. Then, I don't need to turn on my pc and the ftp can 24 hours on line. Thanks indeed.

Please clarify, how you perform login from your PC, otherwise it's totally impossible to say anything...

I login via IE. The ISP provide an http:// address. I'll just type the http:// address and the web site show login id and password dialogue box. Just type the id and password and I can login.

Use /init/ddnsclient as starting point and do it yourself.
