Hi WL500g community,

I want to share my Internet with my neighbour by using two WL500g in wireless hybrid mode (WDS and AP). In order to protect each others privacy I would like to have to different networks (192.168.1.0 and 192.168.2.0).

Actually both devices only connects if they are in the same network. I tried to play with routing mode, but didn't succeed in connecting two different netwroks with two WL500g.

Any idea if this is possible?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Regards

Nik

I have this configuration working,

i setup LAN ip to the same subnet (192.168.254.0/24) and enable wireless firewall on booth of WL-500g (192.168.1.0/24 , 192.168.2.0/24)
then you mas do a little changes in bridge config via SSH or TELNET,

for example you add wds0.2 to br0 and eth0 (eth1) to br1 ...(br1 is 192.168.1.0 or ..2.0 and br0 is .254.0)

try brctl delif <br> <eth> to remove eth device from bridge
brctl addif <br> <eth> to add ...

if you will have ptoblems with this, I can send you my setup....

Be carefull when using brctl delif......
if you remove device from which you are connected to ASUS (eth0 = LAN eth1= WAN, eth2 = WLAN) your conncetion will be closed, and you must reconect via other eth, or power off/on the router form discard changes...

for storing, use bootCmd (fw oleg 1.6.5.3 + )
