Secure Ftp server

I have looked all over the forum to find guide on how to make a secure ftp server i.e. either a server SSL/TLS (e.g. Proftpd) or with SSH (OpenSSH ftp-server). I have tried to install both with ipkg (at different times), but have had little luck in setting them up.

Right now, I am using vsftpd, but unfortunately the build from ipkg does not include support for SSL/TLS (as far as I could tell...).

What would be the best way to setup a secure ftp server on my Asus WL-500g deluxe?

I have the same problem.

I want to use a script to backup data from my internet FTP-Server to the wl-hdd over FTP but in a secure way (SSL/TLS).

I found no solution until now. Is it possible and can someone help me?
