in my log i can read:
kernel: DROPIN=vlan1 OUT= MAC=... SRC=64.4.25.81 DST=192.168.0.2 LEN=137 TOS=0x00 PREC=0xC0 TTL=113 ID=58874 PROTO=UDP SPT=3544 DPT=1056 LEN=117

i gues that means that my firewall has blocked 64.4.25.81
it has blocked the following:
64.4.25.81 = baym-td1.msgr.hotmail.com
64.4.12.201 = echo-v2.msgr.hotmail.com

So what dows hotmail want. I dont have a hotmail account. Could it be that my outlook some times sends informatione to hotmail. My outlook is not set up for a hotmail account.

Among hte other blocks it has:
212.54.64.171 = ns010.worldonline.dk
217.205.137.211 = www.itsearchsite.co.uk
69.50.172.11
38.99.131.22

This only means that you have the MSN-Messenger client running - and it's this program which requests ping to the server mentioned above - the xxx.msgr.hotmail.com. This has NOTHING todo with some sort of hack or anything like that. :)

The other blockings i'm afraid i can't help you with...
