Hi,

I have a satellite tuner that can record on a NFS or CIFS share within the network. On a CIFS i can give a username and password which enables to use windows.

But I would like to use Oleg's enabled NFS on the WL-500g in the super customfirmware. So I have connected a HDD to the USB port for creating a NFS network share. I created on the HDD a folder on the root, but I cannot connect to it with the \\IP number\foldername.
The Ip number and folder name can be chosen, a username and password is not possible.

What are my options or am I doing something wrong?

Kind regards, Marcel.

as far as I know, oleg's firmware does not have NFS support ?

could you supply us with a link, or information confirming that it does?

As far as I understood it, in http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=73&page=3&pp=15 in the post of 06-01-2004, 13:54 there is the mentioning of the NFS share and even that it worked.

This was NFS client code, not server. Also, wl-500g is not suitable for this: the performance is VERY poor with usb drives.
