View Full Version : NON-WORKING: WL-500G Deluxe + Canon iR1210, help

Hi everyone,

I have WL-500G Deluxe and I was trying to make it work with Canon iR1210 printer.

I have tried both ways described in manual: 1) to install printer connected straight to the computer and then reconnecting the printer to the router and using Printer Wizard to chang the Connection to IP and LPR/RAW and 2) to install it thru win add printer straight with IP adress.

Anyway the result was the same, it wasnt printing at all, in ASUS admin web of WL-500G printer appears to be online and working fine, but it seems that the router never passes the printing job forward to the printer.

Do you have any suggestions what could be the problem and what are the solutions??? Do you think that Oleg's FW might deal with this?

Some Canon printers are affected by serious bug in the ASUS firmware. So flash custom firmware and check if this helps.
Alternatively you could donate me your printer and I will do this for you. :D

lol, thanks a lot, I ll try to tell my parents to give u the printer ;)

and if they wont agree I ll at least try your FW...

So I ve put your FW 1.9.2.7-6b in and it still isnt working. The apllication which installed itself automaticly when adding the printer say that the port is being used by other device...

Dont you have any idea where the problem could be?? :( :confused:

PS: Using RAW and port 9100, tried with both USBs (does it even matter which one is used??)

Try using other drivers for similar model, which are supported by MS (i.e. built-in).

... is using Canon CAPT, it's something aka GDI, standard printservers wil not work... Only AXIS AXIS 1610 or AXIS 1650 printservers support print on CAPT printers :( :(

It costs $200 in Moscow.. so my Canon LBP3200 (same problem) is cheaper!

P.S. my english.. sorry ;)
