conect USB printer without Pc server Needed [Archive]

When i install printer to IP port It works fine. But wjen i remove the computer which it was installed from, i cannot get work printer anymore.

I mean ,can i run printer on Asus WL-500gx without Pc server needed?
Please help

Yes you can!

In fact I don't know why shutting down one PC should keep the printer from working, EXECPT if you installed him on one PC and then you used the windows printer share function to print with it on network.

What you need to do is

a) connect your printer to the wl500gx.

b) now you need to do the install procedure as described in the asus manual FOR EVERY PC you have. Not only on one. So on all PCs you need to run the printer setup wizard and create a new printer port (don't want to explain here step by step as it's all in the manual) . And don't forget, you don't have to enable printer sharing in windows.

c) oh wait, there is no c) ... you're done.
