client mode with static does not connect [Archive]

oleg please help me, i have this problem

i set my asus 500b v1 to client mode
wan setting
ip 10.30.22.14
netmask 255.255.255.0
gw 10.30.22.1

wl scanresults get
SSID: "ssid fom AP"
Mode: Managed RSSI: -74 dBm noise: -98 dBm Channel: 13
BSSID: 00:30:4F:3C:C3:A6 Capability: ESS
Supported Rates: [ 2(b) ]

but cannot connect to the internet
cannot ping to gw

in asus web Status & Log
->Status->WAN Interface->Link Status: Connected
->Wireless: Mode : Ethernet Bridge
Channel : 1
Status : Connecting to "AP ssid"

anyway your router is not connected to the other AP, so it is not joined on the network

ok, and what can i do, yesterday i have buy a simple PLANET clien and everythin work fine, but i cannot ungerstand, why can i not connect with asus
