View Full Version : With different wlan settings, WAN dies?!

Hi,
I have WL500G with 1.9.2.7-6b from Oleg. Something strange is happening. My WAN port dies when i set different settings in wlan (Bridge-WDS, Advanced-Extended mode - Ethernet Bridge).

I simply can't get anything from WAN port (i have cable modem on that port, so no internet with different settings).

What could it be? I flashed today, and didn't do anything other than factory settings, and these normal adjustments.

It does not dies, perhaps you just misunderstood the Ethernet Bridge Option, which means client mode (this way WAN port is treated as LAN). You should not use it with WDS.

Thx. It worked with stock firmware (1.8.something).
How do i setup my ap in client, but with the ability to connect to the internet through wan?
Let's say i want to connect to some other AP with my ap, but also want my internet (WAN).
