HTTPS on remote access

I am a bit surprised to see there is no HTTPS option for WAN graphical interface access on official Firmware.
I am running Oleg firmware, I know there is SSH access, but I would prefer to configure https for GUI access from the WAN. How could I activate it?

https is not supported, use ssh tunnel instead.

This sounds like a good solution, but how exactly does it work? How can I use the web interface through ssh?
