My friend give me a 500g AP.
The box show it's WL-500g, but user manual is for WL-500g Deluxe. I need to upgrade fw, so how to distinguish the model.

Thanks, that's WL500g, but I have "WAN Connection Speed" option in "IP CONFIG", which manual show only Deluxe have.
Are you too lazy to navigate to ASUS site and read specs?
Do you've LPT port on the unit? If so, this is wl500g.

I did read ASUS official site, there is no difference between 500g and 500g deluxe.
I've upgrade fw to 1.9.2.7-5a, 500g fw used. And some option enhanced appear on my config page.

That's not true - do it again and read it carefully this time!
Hint: If you select the WL-500g and click the "Specification" Link you will see that this model _has_ a Parallel Port. According to the WL-500g Deluxe Specification page the deluxe model has _no_ Parallel Port. Now take your Router and look at backside - if there is a purple, 25 pin female connector you have a WL-500g. If this connector is missing you have a WL-500g Deluxe! Quite simple, hmm? ;)
