I don't understand why I keep losing my connection.
Distance AP to pc is 5 mtr with one wall in between. Power set to 84.
Tried first to go back from WPA to WEB....no difference.
PC shows full signal strength. But can't associate...
I know for sure I set WEP passphrase ok because sometimes it connects for a short time.

How to debug this ???

Need Input ;)

Have you tried to run on a different channel ?

You are probably using channel 6, as is 90% of all users I bet...this could be the reason...inteference from other wlans in your area.

Nope. I have it on auto negotiate....

I have never seen another channel than channel 1 though !

Today I disabled wireless zero config in XP and used SMC's WLAN Monitor which came with the card. Connected right away :(

But it doesn't have WPA.

So looks like XP is screwing up. What now...due to some update ?

I have the same log as you, but it is happening with a pc connected via ethernet cable, without any wireless connections arround... and the internet access speed through the ethernet ports drops to very low values such as 80kbps...
wireless connections have the speed ok, so far as I can tell.
It occurs after aprox. 2 days uptime...
