Bekijk de volledige versie : configuration for WL-500gP v2 as a simple ethernet switch
Hello,
The configuration I have is a setupbox that receives internet via ADSL with WIFI routing activated and have 4 ethernet ports available. From one of this ethernet ports I’d like to connect via cable the ASUS WL-500gP V2 and from it distribute/connect 2 additional PCs via Ethernet.
I’d like to have your support to reconfigure (if possible step-by-step) the ASUS from ‘factory settings’ as a simple ethernet switch without wireless activated.
Thank you in advance.

System setup - Operation Mode: Access Point (Apply)
Wireless - Advanced - Enable Radio?: No
Finish - Save & Restart
You get 5 port switch (WAN, DHCP are disabled) Asus obtain some ip from adsl dhcp and can be accessible by ip adress - or make as 1st step:
IP Config - LAN - Get IP Automatically?: No.
And type something like (subnet by adsl):
IP Address: 192.168.1.10
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
... In this mode router can be still used as download machine, forward some ports for it.
