interest to move from fw 1.8.1.9 to 1.9.2.7

I am not a experimented user and my WL-500g is running with firmware 1.8.1.9.

Is it interesting to move to 1.9.2.7?

By surfing thru the forum, i saw that this firmware seems not to be very helpful.

Well, 1.9.2.7-5 has many advantages of 1.8.x.x. The WAN die issue is solved for good without reboots (supposedly), you can add new components to the router using ipkg if you have a flash disk, and, well, there's more. You must not have "surfed" much at all.
