Extract OpenWrt rootfs from daily snapshot?

Hi,

Everything is in the question. I would like to extract the OpenWrt root fs from the daily snapshot, to be able to update it when new snapshot are released. It doesn't have a "Compressed" string inside, like a normal Asus or Linksys stock firmware, so none of the actual method described in the forum works.

Oleg already mentioned the fact to be able to use this rootfs to make Openwrt package run on Wl-HDD or Wl-500g routers. I guess it is just a simple offset to find, but where to search?

Well, the difference is that stock firmwares use cramfs, while openwrt use squashfs and jffs2. So you need to look for the begining of the data in the firmware header.
