I have the wlan of my wl500gP completely shut down with wl radio off. I want to have wlan SW controlled.
I am wondering that there is still the AIR LED lit although with weak/slight light.
Any idea why that is or is the wlan not completely shutdown? Thanks for any input.
the leds are not seperated by a wall, so the plexiglass pieces pick up light of other leds...
Thats why all the leds seem to lit up a bit.

well, I knew that by studying the wl-500gP LED pipes construction.
In fact I have turned off all LEDs (even power LED by Software, all LANs and WAN disconnected) and still the AIR LED (with wlan radio off) is slightly lit.
I do not think there is any other LED on board left to light the AIR LED or is there?

I opened the box after a while again. In fact the AIR LED is slightly lit when wlan radio is off. Why is that? Any ideas?
With wlan radio on the AIR LED has bright light.
Could that mean that wlan can not fully be SW de-activated?

as far as I know it is possible to SW deactivate it...
I mean, if you can't find your network anymore, it should work right?:p
maybe it's just because to notify there is power on the card, but it's not activated...
