Hello.
I have a WL-500G with original 1.9.2.7 firmware from Asus.
My problem is that my router some times updates DynDns with the internal IP-address of the router instead of my external address from the ISP. When this happens, I can’t get out to the Internet either. I have to restart my router, another thing is that the new address always is 198.168.1.33, but I have set my IP-range from 198.168.1.1 to 198.168.1.10.
Is there someone who could help me with my problem?

Thanks

Oleg

Looks like you've connected WAN and LAN ports together using hub. This is not allowed if use wl500g in the router or home gateway mode.

Thanks for a quick answer.
I don’t exactly understand what you mean with “connected WAN and LAN ports together using hub” but I have a cable modem who are connected to my WAN port in my router. The LAN port is connected to my Ethernet card. I use the router in gateway mode. Because of problem with VPN at work, I had to change the internal Address from 192.X.X to 198.X.X. I have used my router for 3 months, this problem have occurred maybe four or five times.

The ddns script in the router can only see the ip on its wan port. You can find a solution in this thread:
