Greetings,
Currently I have my WL-500g connected on one side (ethernet) to the all-in-one box provided by my Internet Provider (this box - named FreeBox - is a DSL modem + Wifi AP + router + phone) and connected on the other side (USB) to my HP 5550 printer. All works perfectly and my printer is reachable through the all-in-one box from a wifi or wire connexion).
What I want to do is to put the printer (and the WL-500g) in another room, far away from my router. So the WL-500g and the printer will only be connected to the all-in-one box in wifi.
Question:
How to set the WL-500g to open a Wifi connexion to my all-in-one box in order to be reachable through this box. I am ready to swith to any firmware that will do the job.
WDS does not seem to be the answer and I do not plan to buy PLC (Powerline Communications) equipment.
Thanks for your help.
Thierry
