I use WL-500g as AP and use a few clients 54g cards. Everything works
fine :), but I have just bought a new client machine asus WL-330, but is running at 802.11b.

My problem is:
when I set through web environment auto or lrs mode (and reboot), i cannot
connect by the 11b client. Then, when i set manualy, from command line,
for example:
wl gmode 2 (to 54g mode only) and back to wl gmode 1 (auto mode) or 5
(54g LRS), 11b client can connect.
... switching to a mode and back is for is for assurance.
Client configuration is ok, 11b mode only (on asus WL-500g) works without problems.

I tried on firmware 1.8.1.7-3 and 1.9.2.7-1 also.

Is it just my problem or is it a known bug or featrure?
Does someone test this?

thx for answer,

Nobody tried this as seems, and I've no problems with Auto mode with both 11b and 11g cards.
Also, 1.9.2.7 firmware do not allow switching gmode using wl command. How you've tried this?
Also, do you've "g Protection" enabled?

in 1.9.2.7 it's imposible , gmode says eth2 invalid argument (i don't know why ) , .... i did it in previous version 1.8.1.7 .
