View Full Version : Problems with 1.9.2.7 CR2 (oleg)

Hey,

i canīt update my wl-500g device with 1.9.2.7 CR2 from oleg.
After uploading the firmware via the webinterface, pwr led is blinking
and iīve no access to the device via wired lan.
only after flashing the wl500g with the asus restoring tool and an
older firmware it is booting again.
someone with the same problem?

no please re-download firmware,

also upload firmware using firmware restoration (as you used to restore old firmware)

also be sure you have the correct firmware

iīve tried it two times. doesnīt work....
iīm going to try it with the asus firmware rescue tool!

okay, re-downloaded firmware, flashed with asus restoring tool works fine.
even my hp officejet 5100 works with the new firmware.
but now the usbport seem overloaded.
if my passice usb-hub, hp officejet and my buspowered 40gb harddisk are connected the harddisk is very unstable and the motor restarts every few seconds!

You probaly want to add aditional power source. for me similar setup also did not leave enough jus for the HD. It worked, but went down often.

Yes, looks like your power supply is overloaded. You should try to power either the USB disk or the hub.
