Hi,
tried anybody ftp with wl-500gx? I transfered only 100kB and than transfer dies :confused:. I use 160GB USB disk with FAT32 and active mode.

I also wonder if it will be faster than ovislink (WMU-9000VPN). From ovislink's ftp I can download 1.7MB/s, but asus (WPA) has faster wireless transfer than ovislink (WEP).

FTP works fine with wl-500gx (using 100MB testfile)

Try custom firmware. 1.9.2.7-2 is the latest.

I tried upload custom firmware through web interface, but it didn't work.
Next I'll try hold reset button, plug power cable and upload firmware with rescue software.

I have same problem: If I want upload to router a file, what is bigger than 30-40 MByte, the transfer hangs (without error message).

My config: 1. 9. 2. 7-2 (OLEG version)

where are you talking about?

this is about a WL500g Deluxe! not the WL500g

also HOW do you upload the 30-40 MByte file, via samba?

ok.. I will try this with 1.9.2.7-2 firmware..

with 1.9.2.7 custom beta I did not have any issues with 100MB testfile
