Hi

I know little about networking, but have setup as a home gateway. There are both wired and wireless users, connecting to the internet.

Now my question is, can I control their access ? For example, I would like to block certain applications (msn) or websites (pp2g), preferably at certain times.

I can now only switch radio on and off at specified times of day, this applies to all users. E.g. I might want the kids to go offline early, and allow others to continue.

Is this in any way possible ? Do I need a firmware upgrade ? Are there any third party applications that could do the work ?

Any help much appreciated. I think this is possible with some other manufacturers. After extensive search found nothing useful on the asus so far...

Roberto,

It is possible to do it using the LAN to WAN filters but you can only use a global time range settings for all filters. It you want to accomplish something like what you ask, try Sygate Personal firewall (it's free - http://smb.sygate.com/ - beware; the Pro version isn't free). You can create advanced rules with each another time setting if you like.
