Hello,

I want to buy a WiFI pcCard (for my laptop) to connect to my WL-500G.
Which one has the best speed/range/price ?
Are the cards from Asus any good? ( WL-107g and WL-100G)

thanks,

ps: sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place.. bum I'm interested in getting the most out of my WL-500G... :o

Linksys has a good card.
Do NOT use WL-138g, this card sucks badly.

Can anyone please report about the Asus cards?
The WL-107g or the WL-100G? Does the rotating antenna make any difference?

thanks.

Hi

The Wlan USB adapters with RaLink Chipset are good and habe GPL driver direkt from the chip producer. Most Wlan Sticks which claim to have 54g and USB2.0 should use this.

I got a WL-107g when I ordered my Asus WL-500G. Card works nicely, it doesn't have a rotating antenna like the WL-100G, instead it got 2 build in antennas. So far around the house here it does the job nicely.

500g with marwell chipset works fine, but problem is in asus 138g card, because it is less sensible, and you must have very good antenna to have performance on a picture below (2,7 Mb/s)
