Connection lost

I did have to re-register the forum !!??!!

"vitual server forward" Doesn't work with asus original firmware

So i reflashed again to 1.8.1.7-3.

Now with this firmware 1.8.1.7-3, i got always a connection lost with internet after bootup my portable with wireless lan or when i havy download from ftp.
Very very bad. internal lan stays working. Only thinnk i could do is login to the wl500g clikking disconnect (release ip) en twice clikking to renew ip.

I reflashed with 1.8.1.7-3 again and power wl500g off for 15min. also restore to default settings like i read somewhere this forum before.
Bud this could not help my problem.

nice feature on the latest firmware 1.9.2.7-1 "Web interface shows decoded uptime now" hope this also comes with the next custom one ;)

Maybe it is the Wan port die thing, i dont know. 1.9.2.7 has some fix for this, you should try it. (1.9.2.7-1 (http://wl500g.dyndns.org/1.9.2.7-1/)).
The Forum was offline the last day, and it seems the Hoster has put a Database backup into place since some posts are gone also.

Only problem with this version 1.9.2.7 is that the "virtual server" doesn't work with my bulletproof ftp server thats behind this WL500G. There is no way to put a port range in it.

Port range should work ...
But i didnt´t tryed yet.
Use ":", i dont know if it is for single ports or port range, but it should work, like "20:21" for ftp.

ok got it working now with 1.9.2.7-1.

On this latest 1.9.2.7-1 there is LOCAL PORT when you fill this in it won't work :mad: leave this blank it works ;)
In this firmware i can't put a ":" on LOCAL PORT (try it and see)

On this custom 1.8.1.7-3 you don't have this to fill in. So it works.

now hope and wait to see if it still disconnect on downloads and wifi connections.

I have a little problem with setting up the BulletProof FTP server on my WL500g as well (I have firmware version 1.9.2.7-1). The problem is that I cant access the FTP-server from within the network, but it works externaly though. I have manually assigned an ip to the server-machine (192.168.1.20) and I have also fowarded ports 20:21 to this computer. Does somebody have a solution for this problem?
