Perhaps this is an easy question but how do you get access to your printer and external drives. It seems like sometimes they will show up on the status page and other times not at all... It is as if sometimes they are not being initialized... A REAL pain indeed. Any help.

What version of the custom software are you using?
This is a problem which seems to exist in version 1.4.6.
have you tried to upgrade to latest custom kfurge software?
I'm using the latest version of kfurge's firmware (1.7.8) which is great. I'm concurrently running ushare, no-ip, and mt-daap, i don't even know how to manually mount my USB drives. It happens every reboot. Once they are mounted they stay up and share via samba fine but I don't know how to get them to mount.

i'd the same problem (with using 1.0.4.6 FW) but could resolve it by manually browsing to the routers status page, e.g.
http://192.168.1.1/status.asp
after i've switched on the USB printer but no reboot of the router.
after a minute or so the printer then appears,
check frequently the status page.
this worked repeatedly already
I had this with original 1.0.4.6 FW, I had to turn printer on/off a couple of times and then it would stay. With kfurge's 1.0.7.8, I have the feeling that it stays even after powercycle or reboot....
