Does wl500g support bidirectionnal over USB ?

I have the following issue, using my canon i865 printer usb plugged on the wl500g :

The state monitor cannot communicate with the printer and so, I don't get any state message from the printer (like "empty cartridge" or "please insert CD for printing")

Printing is ok but no state messages at all.
Printer works fine when directly PC connected.

I have not tried with parallel port and would like to avoid it :)

any idea ?

currently it does not support Bidirectional, I have no idea if it will be sometime..

IMO it wont work - I tried also parallel connect with CANON i560: Printing is ok but no state messages at all with the state monitor
