Hi all,
i have problems with my router, provider or ....
Recently I've got router and now trying to set up. I have internet from my provider through the LAN cable. When I connect directly to my computer - internet is available.
So my steps and problems I’ve got, when setting up router:
LAN cable is connected to WAN port
PC is connected to LAN port
I can access administration site
router is set as Home Gateway
router gets its IP automatically
in router settings, I entered my computers MAC address, because my provider restricts connecting from other devices
From routers status log I see, that router gets its correct IP (the same as my computer, when I connect computer directly to cable). And the problem is that when I trying to ping some internet sites, in average 2 packets are lost.
Ping to router is working without problems
my provider says, that with his part everything is ok, because I get internet from my PC, if I connect directly.
What else should I set up or test to get router working?
thanks.
