Hi!

I have 3 workstation and i want use DHCP - Assign IP Address Manually feature for one worksation, but it doesn't work. I set the 'Enable Manual Assignment' option to 'Yes', i assigned the MAC address to IP address.
The manually configured MAC address, always get the next free IP address, don't use the manually assigned IP list. Why? It's a bug or what wrong? I use firmware 1.8.1.9.

Thanks!

Derfel

I have tried it with 3 hosts/workstations. Two MAC addresses has been defined with fix IP addresses but the third. It works fine on 1.8.1.9 when the router delivers IP addresses via DCHP to the hosts.

Hm! It's interesting! Can you send me the DHCP Server configuration page? And one more question: Do you use Wireless host? Thanks!

Here you go...

In fact, one of the assigned MAC addresses is used on a wireless laptop.

Thanks! My settings is almost same as there, but doesn't work... My router IP address is: 192.168.1.254, not set domain, IP pool is: 192.168.1.4-192.168.1.253, and the manually assigned IPs is 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3. The 192.168.1.2 is a PC with W-138g network card. The PC is get the 192.168.1.4.... Grrrr!

eventually use a custom firmware, it should work then as it is using another dhcp daemon

Ehh! In other word the official v1.8.1.9 firmware's DHCP daemon is malfunctioning?
Which one custom firmware is reliable?

I think so, i found the bug... If i turn off the special applications [Starcraft(Battle.Net) to No on NAT Setting - Virtual DMZ], then the DHCP - Assign IP Address Manually feature doesn't work... It's really a bug or this is the normal operational mode?

IP pool is: 192.168.1.4-192.168.1.253, and the manually assigned IPs is 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3.

You're trying to manually assign an address that is not in your defined IP pool. Obviously, this cannot work...

It's work, if the special applications feature is turned of... :o

I am using firmware v.1.7.5.9 CR5 and with that I have noticed that the system is case sensitive for the mac addresses. Maybe this also the problem for you.
