hi all,
hope someone can shed some light on this problem i have...
bought wl-500g a few days ago... setting up was no problem.. upgraded the firmware to 1.8.1.9 (or something) and reset the machine (btw, heard from someone who read that to reset you have to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds?? can someone confirm this?). and anyway... wireless is now good... i can get it to work and run at good speed, too.

but my printer KYOCERA MITA FS-1010 still won't print... (i know, i am not sure why my sister got this printer, either). i read that you need the "remote port" when you install but i couldn't find that when i tried the printer wizard, only saw "standard tcp/ip port" or "local port". am i supposed to have that "remote port" thingy to run? a little confused...

but yeah anyway after 3 days still no luck in getting it to print... kept havign error, despite that the machine detects it. also tried all sorts of drivers from the official kyocera website. no luck.... plz help :(
thanks to anyone who can provide a lead or tip...

you are running the custom fw?
if so, you have to set up an tcp connection to your printer in raw mode. thats it.

i run the kyocera fs-680 with the wl500g and its running fine.

sorry for posting in the wrong forum.. my apologies. :o

question though - what did u mean by installing in "raw" mode? i can see that the printer shows up in the "device discovery" so it does recognize... what do i need to do to change it to "raw"? plz clarify. thanks.

Hi,
I have a kyocera FS800 connected on the // port of my WL500g and it works fine. I think that i have the same firmware that yours.
I added a TCP/IP port and configure it on LPR protocole.
