Hi all,
Recently I got a WL-HDD from a friend of mine, and I have to say, even if it's a bit "dated", it's a GREAT device :-)
I would like to use it mainly as external storage, so all I need is a connection from my PC to the WL-HDD. As I wouldn't need the routing/AP functionality of the WL-HDD, my opinion is that (from the security point of view) it would be better to set the WL-HDD to client mode and create an ad-hoc connection between my PC and the WL-HDD, rather than setting the WL-HDD to AP, and connecting my PC as client to it (to my knowledge, an AP broadcasts beacons and can hence be detected (even if the SSID is hidden), while a client is completely silent; is that correct ?)
I have just one PC connected to the WL-HDD, and i don't need internet access, so an ad-hoc connection would be sufficient to me; by setting the WL-HDD as AP I would just add the risk of "wardrivers" hacking into my storage.

Is it possible to set the WL-HDD into client mode and use it in an ad-hoc connection to a PC ? I've tried to study Oleg's firmware (btw, great job, oleg!!! :-D), but I couldn't find how...

Thanks in advance :D
