I have a weird problem:
My WL-500g disconnects my WLAN connection to my desktop computer several times a day. After a few secs I'm connected again, but it totally sucks. My desktop computer uses a wlan card from MSI and the connectionstatus looks ok. Still it disconnects.

Any solutions?

Regards!

I had similar problem and fixed by setting exact channel for wireless interface - not AUTO setting. Really donīt know why, but now working without sucks. Try it and let us know...

']i set the wireless chan to "13" but that did not solve my problem!Spend some more time on optimizing your connection! Try different channels, optimize position of your router and desktop (if possible) optimize alignment of your antenna's. Probably your MSI card also came with some to tool(s) to monitor signal strength, signal to noise ratio and connection speed. Now is the time to use them.

It may take some time to find optimum settings, especially if there are numerous physical barriers (concrete floors / walls) between your router and your desktop.

(Checked your DHCP lease time?)

i had the same problem with 11mbit pcmcia card and Asus Wl500g.
WL mode

hide ssid = ON
Auto Speed option = ON

I changed it successfully to:

hide ssid = ON
Auto speed option to 11mbit

It always occure, if someone else search for available access points with Windows XP.

I got similar problem, I follow the suggestion of fixing a channel on the router. it seems it is getting better, but still seldomly died, and I have to reboot it
