Can't upgrade to 1.8.2.4

Hi there,

I got 1.8.1.1 running on my 500g but it just won't upgrade to 1.8.2.4. I uploaded it and reset to defult through System Setup > Factory Default and even did a hardware reset, but nothing. Can NE1 help me what to do so I can upgrade?

I did that but must be missing something. I used the utility but it tells me there is no spacelink. Also used search.

Ok now I know. Just to help others I'll sum it up in logical steps.

It's best to connect your 500g through a networkcable to your PC first!

1. Start the ASUS firmware restoration utility (it's on the install CD)
2. Browse for the firmware you want to recover. Don not press upload yet.
3. Press and hold the hardware resetbutton on the back of your 500g (see manual if you can't find it) till the power light starts blinking.
4. now press upload and wait....
5. Log on as admin/admin and first restore default settings.
6. Done.

yeah well.. you describe it wrongly..
this way it won't work, because the device will only restore it default settings and will not go into recovery mode
