Hello,
I read the FAQ, searched the forum and found this:
http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=549&highlight=Radio
Thank you,
but I also notice the "wl radio off" command
will turn the radio off.
The status will report
"Radio is off (WL_RADIO_SW_DISABLE 1 WL_RADIO_HW_DISABLE 0)"
I am interested in the difference between "software disable" and "hardware disable", and how to achieve "hardware disable"?
The "wl down" doesn't make WL_RADIO_HW_DISABLE become 1.
The given answer sounds not quiet clear for me. Could someone verify that:
wl radio off = WL_RADIO_SW_DISABLE 1 (the function of Software is disabled)
and
wl down = WL_RADIO_HW_DISABLE 1 (the function of Hardware is disabled - no Radio Power in the Air)
Is it possible to manage the wl down function (Hardware off) over the GUI
Like shown in the actual Asus manual on side 86 (manually disable radio)?
Same Question for the GUI-Function under Wireless Advanced - Time Management (Hardware or Software off ?)
