WL-500G + Printer + Powerbook G4

We have the following setup:

ASUS WL-500G that has an HP Deskjet 940 connected to the LPT Port.

Setup the printer using the Asus Printer setup Wizard, printer was setup on IP 192.168.1.1

Printing from a Windows XP PC via the network works fine.

However we can't seem to get it to work in an Apple Powerbook G4.

The apple connects wireless to the internet via the WL-500G.

Anybody have any idea ?

Current Firmware: 1.8.1.7

you may want to press/hold the option key while clicking on the 'more
printers' in the printer setup util.

this will allow access to more advanced/hidden settings, among those the
LPR functionality needed for use with the parallel port and the stock asus fw.
you also need to set the lpr queue name correctly as per asus lpr docs.

a similar setup to yours works with stock fw 1.8.1.9 and ofcourse the very
nice fw from oleg too. I believe the option key trick only works with Tiger
(eg OSX 10.4.x), so no guarantee for older OS releases.
